⦁ Steven is currently the Vice Chair, Board of Director for Partners in Performance Excellence (PiPEx). He has been a member of the Board since 2007. During that time, he also served as Board Chair. Steven has led multiple examiner teams during his time with PiPEx.

⦁ Steven is the Chief Pharmacy Officer for the Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), a position he has held since 2004. Prior to that time, he held Director of Pharmacy positions in Central MA and CO. In addition to his pharmacy responsibilities, Steven has been tasked with implementing quality improvement programs in previous organizations.

⦁ He has actively participated in developing multiple Baldrige Award applications as well as leading category teams at CHA while the organization was formally pursuing an excellence journey.

⦁ Since joining CHA and embracing the Baldrige Framework for Excellence, Steven has implemented numerous related approaches that have made the Pharmacy Enterprise a model operation.

⦁ Steven also serves as Lead Faculty Member for the Financial Effectiveness course, part of a year-long Pharmacy Leadership Academy curriculum. The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Research and Education Foundation offers the program. Many of the principles and criteria found in the Baldrige Excellence Framework have been incorporated into Steven’s Financial Effectiveness course. More than 1,000 students have been exposed to this application of the Framework.
